Have some eyelashes broken off or fallen out after an eyelash extension and does your lash line look very thin as a result? Unfortunately, this happens from time to time after an eyelash extension. After all, extensions have been glued to every single one of your lashes, and this naturally puts a strain on them. But the breaking off of the hairs is not always due to eyelash extensions. Often a small accident with the eyelash curler is enough.
For example, if you have applied mascara before using the tongs. Unfortunately, this can cause serious damage to an eyelash! But don't worry: luckily your lashes will grow back - even if you have to be patient! The fact that the lash line thins out over time is also a question of age and quite natural. With time, the eyelashes simply become thinner.
We explain here with valuable professional tips how you can effectively accelerate the growth of your eyelashes and get full, beautiful lashes!
This is how the growth cycle of eyelashes works!
Eyelash growth is hardly any different from the growth of your head hair. Unfortunately, it is a little slower. Eyelashes also have a shorter lifespan than the main hair. Eyelash growth works in three phases:
Growth phase 1
In the first phase, the eyelashes grow actively: that is, they become longer. This phase lasts between 30 and 45 days. At the end, the eyelashes on the upper eyelid are about ten millimetres long. On average, they grow to seven millimetres on the lower eyelid. The length of the growth phase can vary. This is genetically determined.
Growth phase 2
In the second phase, the eyelashes no longer become longer, but more resistant and stronger. Hair cells are no longer produced anew, instead the sheathing of the hair roots shrinks and settles.
Growth phase 3
This is the resting phase. In this phase, nothing happens to the hair for up to 100 days, until it finally falls out naturally. Then the growth cycle starts all over again.
Grow your eyelashes faster with these tips!
Fortunately, you can also effectively help with the speed of eyelash growth. We explain how to do it here!
Nutrition
Just like the hair on your head, eyelashes need the right nutrients to grow quickly. Vitamins A, B, C and E are particularly crucial for the growth of eyelashes. Also important are plenty of proteins and the minerals magnesium, selenium, zinc, iron and copper. These foods are therefore absolutely recommended:
Mango
Grapefruit
Avocado
Broccoli
Spinach
Cabbage
Beans
Nuts
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Sesame oil
Eyelid massage
To stimulate the growth of your eyelashes, massage your eyelids often. This stimulates the blood flow to the hair follicles and also ensures a better supply of nutrients. To massage the eyelids, rub some coconut oil into your fingers and massage it into the eyelids in a circular motion. Ideally, repeat this ritual twice a day for five minutes. And do this for a few months!
Green tea
Green tea is not only healthy if you consume it regularly. It is also very effective in promoting eyelash growth because it is rich in flavonoids and tannins. These stimulate natural hair growth and ensure thick, healthy eyelashes. Simply brew a cup of green tea and let it cool down immediately. Then dip a cotton bud into the cool tea and moisten the lashes from root to tip. Leave the tea on for at least 15 minutes. Then rinse the eye with cold water! This should be repeated twice a day for about three months. However, the tea should never get into the eyes. This can cause unpleasant irritation!
Brush eyelashes
Not only the main hair needs to be brushed regularly, the eyelashes should also be combed daily with a special eyelash brush. This reliably removes the dirt that accumulates between the eyelashes in everyday life and can clog the base of the eyelashes - in the worst case, this can even lead to inflammation of the eye! This extra care also stimulates blood circulation and thus acts like an eyelid massage!
Eyelashes need to be cared for
For most of us, applying mascara to our eyelashes is part of our everyday beauty routine. But additional care is usually forgotten! Yet it is essential for the growth of the eyelashes. Mascara and the evening make-up removal ritual put a lot of stress on the lash line. As a result, the lashes break off more quickly and can even fall out in the worst case. That's why you shouldn't rub your lashes too hard when removing your make-up. This is also bad for the skin around your eyes. It's better to use a cotton pad and gently stroke in one direction only. It is also recommended to use mild products with natural ingredients to remove make-up.

Lazru sollte bei Raumtemperatur und außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern gelagert werden.
In any case, because the active ingredients stimulate the hair follicles, which promote eyelash growth enormously.
Is it true that castor oil makes eyelashes grow faster?
Absolutely. It is considered a natural eyelash serum because it strengthens and stimulates the lashes. You get long and strong lashes from it. Castor oil also helps fight the microorganisms that can inhibit eyelash growth.
Is mascara harmful or caring for the eyelashes?
It always depends on the ingredients. It's best to find a mascara with natural ingredients. There are now also nourishing mascaras that contain castor oil, for example, which even boosts growth!
